It contains the dependencies and the scripts required for the project. It has a few scripts to run the application, to build the application, and to run tests.

Node modules folder

This is the folder in which all the dependencies are installed. It is generated when we run the create react app command or when we run NPM install.

Public folder

The
public
folder contains static assets and files that are publicly accessible and are not processed by the build tools. If we put a file into the
public
folder, it will not be processed by webpack. Instead, it will be copied into the build folder untouched. To reference assets in the
public
folder, we need to use an environment variable called
PUBLIC_URL
. Inside
index.html
, we can use it like this:
<link rel="icon" href="%PUBLIC_URL%/favicon.ico" />
. When we run
npm run build
, Create React App will substitute
%PUBLIC_URL%
with a correct absolute path so our project works even if we use client-side routing or host it at a non-root URL. There are some downsides of this like Missing files will not be called at compilation time, and will cause 404 errors for our users.

Files of Public folder

favicon.ico: The favicon is the small icon that appears in the browser tab next to the page title. we can replace this with our own favicon.

manifest.json: It is a JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) file used to provide metadata and configuration information about a Progressive Web App (PWA)

index.html: The only HTML file in our react application. we are building single-page applications and this is it. It is this HTML file that gets served. We generally do not change anything in the HTML file Sometimes we change in the head tag but definitely not in the body tag. We won't react to control the UI for this purpose, we have one div tag with id root at runtime the react application takes over this div tag and is ultimately responsible for the UI.
<div id="root"></div>
. We call this a “root” DOM node because everything inside it will be managed by React.

SRC Folder

This folder contains the source code of our React application. This is where we will write, organize and manage the code that makes up our React component styles and other application logic

The
src
folder typically contains the following important files and subdirectories:

index.js: This is the entry point of your React application. It's the JavaScript file where our application's main React component is rendered into the DOM. This file plays a critical role in setting up your application's initial structure and initiating the rendering process. The primary purpose of the
index.js
file is to render our main React component into the DOM. This is done using the
ReactDOM.render()
method.

Here app.js file is rendered at the root level and with the help of this code
document.getElementById('root')
the div tag having id root is selected and the effect of rendering is viewed in the index.html file. The code is dynamically placed in the index.html file and finally, it becomes the single page application and served.

index.css: it is just a CSS file for index.js file.

app.js: It is the main component that serves as the entry point for your user interface, It represents the way which we see in the browser. It's where you define the overall structure and layout of your application and often contains the navigation, routing, and arrangement of other components. It is where we first start Building our app. It is like a container that holds various subcomponents and handles the high-level organization of our UI.

app.css: it is just a CSS file for app.js file.

We assume that the function is working for f(n-1) {Just like in PMI, we have assumed that the function is working for Kth term} and now we have to just think what should we do after getting f(n-1) to get the final answer (Self work), As in PMI we have proof that the function is working for k=1, Here we have to similarly find a base case (halting condition) for n=1.

whenever a method is called a stack frame is built in the call stack, Whenever a function is called its line number is recorded And after completing the function the stack frame of the running function is removed and the execution of. the caller function continues.

React is an open-source library for building user interfaces. It is not a framework.

Now the question is what is the difference between a library and a framework?

A library is a collection of pre-written code or functions that developers can use to perform specific tasks. Libraries typically focus on solving specific problems or providing specific functionalities. They are designed to be reusable, so developers can incorporate them into their projects to save time and effort. whereas a framework is a more comprehensive software structure that provides a foundation for building applications. It defines the overall architecture, sets rules, and provides a structure within which developers build their applications.

Features of React

There are many features of React but we will talk about a few in this blog.

React Has a component-based architecture Which means that the website we built will be divided into many components these components are nothing but a block of code that encapsulates a portion of a user interface and its behavior, Components are the fundamental units of building user interfaces in React applications. They allow you to split the UI into independent, reusable pieces, making your code more modular, maintainable, and organized.

React code is reusable. As discussed earlier that everything is written into components And these components can be reused in other places.

React is declarative which means that we have to tell React what we want and React will build the actual Ul. React will handle efficiently updating and rendering of the components.

It seamlessly integrates react into any of our applications, a Portion of our page or a complete page or even an entire application itself.

Getting started with react JS

To get started with react js Just open any IDE and in the terminal type,
npx create-react-app <project-name>
. It will create a new folder named <project-name>, In the terminal go inside this folder and type
npm start
It will start the basic react app. now you can access the react app from http://localhost:3000.
